My Philosophy
As your birth doula and childbirth educator, I am honored to be on this journey with you. My objective is to serve and educate the birthing woman. My foundation while working with expecting families is trust and patience. I trust your ability to birth and I allow patience to foster a gentle yet informed experience.
I promote and teach physiologic birth because I truly believe being educated about your body, birth and your options are pivotal to your experience. Being well versed about your options further prepares you to confidently make the best decisions for your family. My goal is to know that you feel empowered throughout your pregnancy and birth and that when the time comes, you make assured decisions regarding the health and best interest of you and your baby. I aim for your voice to be heard and that when you look around the room, you equally see and feel your needs and desires being met.
I am here guide you with evidence-based information that will help fine-tune your intuition and build certainty as you prepare for your birth. I am here to be unbiased and prepare you whether you want an unmedicated birth or to learn about every intervention available. I am here to support you during your scheduled cesarean section or help keep you on track as you prepare for your VBAC.
Fear is not a productive measure in pregnancy or birth. Therefore, my desire is that your decisions won’t ever stem from fear but from a confident, conscious and sound mind. Every birth story is different, and I have an appreciation and respect for each one. I have a deep love and passion for this calling and I’m humbled to be welcomed into your sacred space.
My Advice
Trust your body, trust the process and equally have the patience to give your body and your baby the time to do what it knows how to do, what it was created to do.
May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears.
